Strength In Numbers Report

The strength In Numbers report is where all of the various relative strength methods I use come together in one report.  The report focuses starts with a Universe of 3,200+ stocks from 10 custom broad sectors and 49 subsectors.  Universe contains only stocks (that are both optionable and shortable) with no Preferred stocks, CEFs, ETFs, or UITs to skew the breadth measurements.  This is the basis for all the market segmentation on which the breadth and Relative Strength analysis is done.  Then separately, I take the ETF universe I follow of about 440 ETFs and segment it into either Size & Style or Sector groupings after which I run various Relative Strength studies.

This analysis allows us to dig deep down into the market to get a better feel for where money is flowing both to and from.  Being able to use various unrelated forms of relative strength allows for greater confidence when things are showing confluence as well as a potential early warning system when the begin to disagree.
